Very spicy with fruity aromas of sweet plums. Also present are notes of coffee and chocolate from barrel aging.  Smooth, round tannins on the palate with good intensity and a prolonged finish.  Reserva Carmenère is born in the Rapel valley, approximately 180 kilometers south of Santiago, from vineyards planted on rocky-loam soil located near the Cachapoal river..
